NEW YORK, NY, JULY 24, 2009 - Abandoned Nation's own Mr. Mecca releases the much-anticipated mixtape, "The Cover Run" and the official video for his single "Over Here" featuring the all-star lineup of SkyZoo, Sha Stimuli, A. Pinks and Torae, directed by Puma of TheProgram LLC.
Malik Rashawn, Jamaica, Queens-native, also known as Mr. Mecca, made a name for himself in the underground New York hip-hop scene not only as a formidable battle emcee but also as a live performer commanding stages and captivating audiences in various venues throughout the metropolis.
Mecca teamed up with the NYC based Hip-Hop Karaoke crew (www.hiphopkaraokenyc.com) to create his upcoming debut mixtape The Cover Run with features by popular recording artist like Charles Hamilton, Donny Goines, Royce 5'9" and Pack FM, as the first peek into the arsenal of beats and lyrics that are expected to explode onto the music scene.
