After Effects Issues

Its been a long ride dealing with Adobe CS3. From issues to Premiere Pro to After Effects one wonders how to people use these apps to get any work done. There is a histroy with Quicktime having issues with memory and large outputs like HD to OpenGL not working right in AE, which is sad cause it renders the comp really fast and Netowrk Rendering which I am working with now. Its working but it took a bit to get it going.

I found some great information about memory mamagement and AE and I wanted to share it with everyone since it seems that based on the information on the internet as well as the hits I see coming to my blog, there are a lot of people dealing with issues with rendering in PPro and AE for CS3, and previous version as well.

I found this "best practices list" here

It addresses issues that deal with the notorious "image buffer" error but its really a good guideline to optimzing AE for your computer. I am also looking into mutiprocesses since I have a quad core cpu and should be able to benifit from that feature.

O'so Krispie - Slumber Party (Featuring King Official)

I just got around to posting this video. O'so Krispi's video Slumber Party. Directed by Scenario. This was a fun project to work on. I made the into for Scenario, hell thats even my voice. Can you tell? lol...Other elements in the video I created were the light wall and 3D spinning speakers which Scenario animated some magic into. Enjoy!

I dont know about anyone else, but Syndrome's videos put me in awe. I mean come on, how can you not love these visuals. This is the very thing thats been inspiring me to create with motion graphics. You almost forget your watching T-Wayne!

I came across a film production company while on the forums to my favorite 35mm adapter company, Redrock. I noticed that the film production company does music videos and they did Grafh's video "Like Ohh" feat Busta Rhymes. I was very impressed with the video. I'm just upset Scenario and I didn't do it, ahaaa! lol...Anyway, here is a high quality version of the video from their website.

Being 37

Here's to another year in the life of Puma. My birthday just passed on Saturday, Sept 6th. You would think it was a regular day as I spent it shooting a video for Freck Billionare....but damn, I am definitely pushing old head status. But like Sickamore once told me, "an old head is not about the age, its their state of mind". And I have to admit, I embody the state of mind of the youth from head to toe. So much, its in my DNA. People often think I am 10 years younger then I actually am, and for that I am grateful and try not to worry about aging. But, then again, my homegirl Melz says " don't think of it as getting older, think of age as fine wine, it tastes better with age. I guess that's one way of distracting you to the fact that you're reaching old head status.

But, age is not the important thing here, its the experiences along the way that matters most. And this year was a very active year for me. I met at lot of new friends being 37 and made a lot of accomplishments and progress. I had the opportunity to work with Freck Billionaire and of course Nina B in recording and engineering her "Real Rap Supreme Mixtape", which led to being her recording engineer as well as working with Scenario on video production. I also found out I have a new love for cinematography. This is really an extension of the graphic design skills I have so it makes sense. To that end, I am currently directing and editing videos for Nina and Freck, to be released in the next few weeks. I also left a lot of drama behind me, which for those of you who know me, knew I was going thru some relationship BS in prior years.

So, I just want to thank everyone for a great year, friends old and new who put up with me this year, there is more to come. I also want to show my appreciation to Amber Ravenel, Nina B, Scenario, Melz, Anel Pla, Animal Steele and Freck Billionaire as well as everyone else I worked with this year. Being 38 will be even better!!

Retro Kidz "New Era"

The Retro Kidz "New Era" video was finally released. This video was Directed and Edited by Scenario. Peep the stage scenes with the crowd jumping up and down with their hands up. Well, thats me! lol....leave it Scenario to do his thing. Even after seeing this video day in and day out for over a month while it was in production, is still looks amazing to me. Props to you Scenario.
