So I was driving around the city and saw Ashanti's billboard for her new album. She looks great, hopefully her album will sound as good as she looks.

Lights, Camera, Action!

This was a crazy busy Memorial Day Weekend for me. At least it was better then last years. I was still preparing to move over the MD weekend and I stepped out of the townhouse I was renting on a Saturday morning to find my X5 on blocks of cement and my rims and tires gone. smh. Try to find 20" Low pro tires and rims that are worthy for a BMW during Memorial Day Weekend. And to think I was almost out of there the following week. UGH!

Anyway this weekend was even busier but on a positive note. On Saturday, Scenario and I shot a video with Nina B for a little project that's classified at the moment. It has something to do with sneakers. ;)

Then on Sunday Scenario directed the video for the Retro Kids and I was the behind the scenes cameraman and photographer. Nina B came thru for a cameo in the video. It was a long day from 12pm to 2am but a lot of fun. I ended the weekend off right by having a small cookout and kicking back with Nina and Amber J at the Puma compound.

Here are a few pics from the Retro Kids video shoot including Nina B.

Crossing Enemy Lines

The promise I made to NEVER go over to the Apple side was broken yesterday. After long deliberation and acknowledgement that a Mac Computer is superior to a PC when it comes to video editing (I will leave it at that revalation for now), I went to the Apple store and picked up a MacBook Pro and Final Cut Studio 2. Dropped 5K on everything and felt good about in the morning, which was not the same feeling when I dropped some stacks at the Louie V store. I'm a gear head, what can I say. Anyway, The gears started turning when I was watching Scenario edit Esso's video Anti-Backpack.

It all made sense in a single nano-second that the PC is just not the machine I want to be broadening my video editing skills on. I just love how fluent the mac was dealing with video and how Final Cut Pro seemed to have a better user experience then Adobe Premiere CS3. Scenario and I put it to the test lastnight as we burned through the night working on some projects (I'm on 3 hours sleep), and it performed with ease. With that said, if you need a music video or documentry, or some form of video prodcution, holla at your boy.

...and in closing

Jay Z-Dead Presidents

This is one of my favorite Jay-Z songs of all time. I think its mostly cause I love the smooth beats that make this song. Jay-Z words are powerful though, listen to them until you get it. But back to th emusic, Ski Beats produced the track and he is one of my favorite producers, period. I just wish he was still in the game making some crazy heat. I thought he was coming out with a new album a few years back but I havent heard anything since. Check Ski Beats youtube video below on how he made the Dead Presidents track. He's defenitley been an inspiration to me.
