How to Charge an iPod using electrolytes and an onion

I can honestly say that this is possible. I studied Digital Electroincs back in the day and always knew you can tap low voltages of eletricity from potatos and other acidic foods like lemons. I dont see the point to this but I think its cool someone attempted it. I guess if you're stranded with only a lemon and gatoraid and are about to die....why not listen to a few of your favorite tunes in your last hours...

Hey Mr. DJ: I hate to tell you this but… You are not an artist.

I thought this was a very good read about DJ's and the RIAA Muscle.

Heres a little clip...

Hey Mr. DJ: I hate to tell you this but… You are not and artist. Not now, not in the past not in the future. DJ's are not artists, according to the rules of intellectual property or basic business, which govern the music industry.

Under their world, Artists are defined as those who create original audio works, based primarily on their own audio concepts and ideas. But DJs (be they mixtape, turntablists, or club) simply play, record, remix, re-mash, and—here's a corporate hustler's term for you—"re-purpose" whole or parts of existing works; often to create a new work for sale or to popularize an existing work.

So recognize: DJs aren't artists as much as they're retailers, distribution outlets and promotional arms of the industry. As a retailer or distribution outlet, the DJ has no inherent right to re-sell or distribute or even promote artists' intellectual property (i.e. songs, videos, music) in any form without expressed (verbal or written) permission of the owners of that artist's intellectual property.

It doesn't matter how many times Lil' Wayne shouts out Drama… It doesn't matter if Mr. Carter himself jumps in the booth and cosigns Clue, Mick Boogie. It doesn't matter what artists cosigns J. Period or DJ Pharris or Primo or Vlad, etc.… All that matters is the answer to one simple question: "Did the DJ secure the necessary rights/permission from (or in some cases, pay the necessary fees to) the publisher of these recorded materials for the expressed purposes of re-sale, promotion and/or distribution?"

Any DJ making mixtapes by any means besides creating original beats from scratch and laying down vocals from an artist who owns their own ASCAP (and therefore has the authority to grant permission of use) or the owner of those lyrics, beats (a.k.a. the publisher), then that DJ is—under the current laws—trafficking in stolen goods (selling someone else's property). And that DJ is subject to prosecution depending on how serious authorities are about enforcing these laws.

Drag-On, Will Traxx, Hell Rell, Mikal Fieldz, Nina B. Joe Budden

Edit: So basically this was where the beef with Joe Budden and Saigon all started. If you ask me I don't think what Joe said was really that bad; [“As soon as the wife’s gone, they jump on the python/ but she don’t know that I’m about to hit and run like I’m Saigon”] which was in reference to Saigon hitting Prodigy in a club then running off. I even read somewhere where Saigon admits to the quick departure after laying it on Prodigy. Anyway, I don't really care much about beef, I was just happy to see that on the 2nd day I posted this video on DailyMotion it had 12,000 hits to it. It just goes to show you what really entertains our hip-hop generation. With that I digress...
